Over the weekend, Meghan was watching Sydney draw on the front step of the house with sidewalk chalk. Sydney kept holding the chalk down next to the concrete and kept scraping her hand. Meghan told her, "hold the chalk up higher". At that point, Sydney looked at Meghan and lifted her hand with the chalk to about shoulder height showing it to Meghan. Meghan then repeated herself thinking Sydney hadn't heard her right. Sydney then lifted her hand over her head with the chalk.

There is nothing like the literalness of a toddler.
